A number of West Ham fans have flocked to Twitter with glee at the news that Kurt Zouma is set to return from injury early, potentially as early as the next fortnight.
According to a report by the Evening Standard’s Jack Rosser, the 27-year-old is set to return from his hamstring injury well ahead of schedule, and he is hoping to be ready for the Irons’ clash against Manchester United on 22 January.

The Frenchman has suffered from numerous injuries whilst playing in the Premier League. At Chelsea, he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture, leading him to miss 32 games over a period of 286 days.
More recently, the defender sustained a hamstring injury in early December in the 3-2 win over his former club, with the knock initially expected to keep him out of action until February. However, having missed 11 games in the intervening five weeks, it appears that Zouma has made a miraculous recovery from his injury.
Many Irons fans erupt over Zouma injury news
Rosser shared a link to his Evening Standard article via Twitter, reiterating that the France international could be available for West Ham’s visit to Old Trafford on Saturday week.
Many Irons fans flocked to the tweet in order to express their delight at the 27-year-old’s impending return, which one supporter described as “huge” given David Moyes’ shortage of alternatives at centre-back.
