They have made a bright start to the 2024-25 campaign, alongside League One table-toppers Wrexham. A heavyweight encounter, which is generating interest around the world, is set to take place in the West Midlands on Monday. There will be plenty of A-list glamour in the stands for that contest.

McElhenney, who will not be joined by fellow Red Dragons co-chairman Ryan Reynolds, said when attending another glitzy awards ceremony in Los Angeles, California: “Directly after the Emmys I’m hopping on a plane and going out to Birmingham, England, to watch Wrexham play Tom Brady’s team, Birmingham City. We’re not legally allowed to bet on the games but we have fun, we have social media and whatnot. I’ll be joining him and I believe Mr David Beckham will be there as well – we should have a good time.”
WHAT NEXT?
Wrexham’s meeting with Birmingham is being billed as a ‘Hollywood derby’, with plenty of famous faces also expected to be in attendance. The same should be true for a return date between the two teams at SToK Racecourse in January.
