Lots of Leeds United fans on Twitter have blasted Yorkshire Evening Post Chief Football Writer Phil Hay’s player ratings from the costly Sky Bet Championship loss to Brentford.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men remained in third position and now lie three points adrift of Sheffield United in the final automatic promotion spot after going down 2-0 at Griffin Park on Monday evening.
And when popular Leeds journalist Hay posted his ratings for every Whites player from the devastating defeat on Twitter, some fans couldn’t help but disagree in the replies.
The general consensus was that the writer was being way too generous in his assessment of certain players, most notably the likes of Patrick Bamford and Mateusz Klich who were both way below-par with their performances.
One critical supporter suggested that no rating would have been more appropriate for the former while another asked Hay if he was kidding having rated the latter’s display five out of ten.
