Adams remained sidelined after he underwent back surgery following the United States men's national team's early exit from Copa America 2024. After spending months in recovery, the midfielder finally returned to action for Bournemouth in their 1-1 draw against Aston Villa in the Premier League last Saturday as he replaced Ryan Christie in the 81st minute.

The 25-year-old has been struggling with injuries since the Spring of 2023 and has only made one start under Andoni Iraola since arriving via transfer from Leeds United that summer. During the 2023-24 campaign, the player made just four appearances for the Cherries, accumulating 148 minutes of competitive play due to different injuries.
