Hussey had originally been overlooked for the match but was a late replacement due to Rob Quiney’s calf injury and at stumps on the second day, he was on 41 with Daniel Christian yet to score, with the total on 5 for 230.Queensland had declared earlier in the day on 7 for 382, thanks in part to an 88-run partnership between James Hopes (57) and Peter Forrest (36). There were contributions all the way through the Queensland order and all nine of the batsmen used by the Bulls reached double-figures.In reply, Victoria lost two early wickets to Alister McDermott before Cameron White and Peter Handscomb combined for a 103-run stand that ended when Handscomb was caught for 52 off the bowling of McDermott (52). White was on 76 when he was caught behind off Cameron Boyce and the loss of Matthew Wade for 35 late in the day hurt Victoria’s cause.
