Eagle-eyed supporters have managed to spot a host of star names from all over the world in the set design, suggesting that some staff on The Boys are serious football fans. Superstar names such as USMNT forward Pulisic, Spain legend Sergio Busquets and England talisman Saka appear along with apparent references to lesser lights including Ireland's Sammie Szmodics, Wales stars Chris Mepham and Will Vaulks and even Sheffield United's Oli McBurnie.

USMNT stars such as Gio Reyna and Yunus Musah appear to be referenced along with England players Ivan Toney, Ben Chilwell and Jordan Pickford.
